The University of Iowa offers the Advantage Iowa Award to incoming first-year students who are not residents of Iowa. Applicants must be students that are from historically underrepresented populations (Alaskan Native, American Indian/ Native American, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, two or more underrepresented races) at the University of Iowa or participation in a federally funded Upward Bound program.
