BMW Group Intern, Business Intelligence – Fall 2025

WHAT AWAITS YOU.
- Collaboration with business partners and IT departments to understand company needs and assist with troubleshooting reporting issues etc.
- Optimizes joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design
- Support of daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc tasks required for the ongoing reporting and analytical requirements for their business function
- Supports the development and know-how transfer for BI Tools and Technologies in the BMW Group on key projects and day-to-day operations.
- Supports analysis of business-critical data and recommends improvements.
- Communicates findings to Business Intelligence team and business decision makers on latest data analytics technologies, BI Tools and Technologies and assists the team in process matters as related to development/support.
- Maintains accurate, meaningful and updated technical and non-technical documentation pertaining to all aspects of area(s) of responsibility and performs tasks as required by the responsible management team in data science.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
- Have completed at least 60 college credits or be at least a rising Junior
- Field of study: Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, and/or Engineering
- Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week)
- Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only)
- Any prior skills in BI tools (i.e. Tableau, Qlik Sense, etc.) is preferred
- Programming skills in languages (i.e. SQL, Python, R, etc.)
- Fully proficient in MS Office Products – Outlook, Word, Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint
- Report development skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
