CBC Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship
Opportunity Details
The CBC Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship was established in 2000, in honor of the late Curtis Mayfield to ensure that African American or Black students pursuing a degree in the performing arts receive financial assistance. Performing arts include theater, drama, comedy, music, dance, opera, marching bands, etc.
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident who is preparing to pursue, or is currently pursuing, an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree Full Time at an accredited College or university. Current high school seniors are also eligible to apply. Must be pursuing a career in the performing arts with an eligible major, have a minimum 2.5 GPA on 4.0 scale and exhibit leadership and be active in community. Selected applicants will be qualified African-American or Black students.
