GLCO Visionaries Scholarship
Opportunity Details
In order to be eligible for the GLCO Visionaries Scholarship, applicants must: graduate from a Los Angeles high school; plan to pursue a major that works towards a career within the eyewear industry; have a 3.0 Cumulative GPA Plan on enrolling in a two-year or four-year college , university in the upcoming academic year; and be available to participate in a summer internship in the summer following their first year of College. Upon successful completion and submission of scholarship application materials to GLCO, strong candidates will be invited to interview in late May-Early June. Scholarships will be awarded in late June-early July.
Systemic racism is a widespread problem in our society with many layers and should be challenged at its core. The GLCO Visionaries scholarship was created to provide educational opportunities for and alleviate the financial burden disproportionately faced by Black, indigenous, and people of color marginalized by systemic and institutionalized racism. In addition to completing the application, applicants must also submit transcripts and two letters of recommendation.
