he Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Buckeye Pathways Summer Internship
Opportunity Details
Each of the six interns will be paired with an Executive Director who serve as a mentor throughout the internship. In addition to leadership mentoring, each intern will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, participate in personal and professional development, volunteer opportunities and lunch and learns throughout the summer.
The project focus areas include, but are not limited to: Hospital Administration, Operations, Human Resources, Ambulatory Services and Mental and Behavioral Health. There will also be shadow and tour opportunities in the Emergency Department, Operating Room, Perioperative Services, the new Ohio State University Hospital inpatient tower and more.
At the conclusion of the internship, students will have the opportunity to present their summer experience to senior leaders.
This is a paid summer internship. Wexner Medical Center will also provide housing to non-local students.
- Students must be undergraduate rising seniors at The Ohio State University, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), minority-serving institutions or other four-year universities who seek to support the mission of our program
- Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Students must major in Business, Healthcare, Public Health, Psychology or other health care related majors
- Students must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Students must be available 38 hours per week
