Ivy & Pearls Scholarship
Opportunity Details
Applicants for The Ivy & Pearls Scholarship Criteria must be of African or of African-American descent and must reside in San Mateo County, Santa Clara County, Alameda County, San Francisco City/County or Contra Costa County. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, be a high school senior, graduating in Spring of the year the scholarship is awarded and must be accepted to a two-year, four-year, or vocational College and show proof of enrollment before scholarship funds will be dispersed.
The Ivy and Pearls Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that provides scholarships to outstanding high school students in the greater Bay Area of African and African-American descent. The Foundation has proudly awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to students in the Bay Area to fund their future educational aspirations and goals.
This years essay question is “How have you shown up as a leader in your school or in your community?” To answer
this question, please describe your most meaningful project(s) in which your leadership skills and commitment to service were on full display, and describe any unique circumstances that may have made achieving your leadership/community service goals more challenging.
