The Minnesota Indian Scholarship Program provides post-secondary financial assistance to eligible Minnesota resident students who are of one-fourth or more Indian ancestry and demonstrate financial need for an award. Scholarships are available to eligible Indian undergraduate students enrolled at least three-quarters of the time and graduate students enrolled at least half-time. Applicants must: be enrolled in an accredited College, university or vocational school in Minnesota; an undergrad student who qualifies for either a Pell or State Grant and demonstrates financial need; or, a graduate student who demonstrates financial need.
The Minnesota Office of Higher Education is a cabinet-level state agency providing students with financial aid programs and information to help them gain access to postsecondary education. The Minnesota State Grant Program is the largest financial aid program administered by the Office of Higher Education, awarding more than $210 million in need-based grants to Minnesota residents attending eligible Colleges, universities and career schools in Minnesota. The agency oversees other state scholarship programs, tuition reciprocity programs, a student loan program, Minnesota’s 529 College Savings Plan, licensing and an early College awareness program and initiatives for youth.
