To be eligible for the Raytheon Underrepresented Minorities in Cybersecurity Scholarship, applicants must: be a U.S. Citizen; belong to a historically underrepresented minority in STEM – including but not limited to women, Black, Native American, Asian American & Pacific Islander, Hispanic, LGBTQ+, persons with disabilities; have a 3.3 GPA; be a high school senior, undergraduate or graduate student (PhD candidates are not eligible to apply); and be pursuing a degree in cybersecurity, information security or similar field.
If awarded, the funds will be sent to the school with instructions that it be applied to tuition, fees, books and required materials (recipients do not receive award funds). In addition to completing the application, applicants must also submit a transcript, one letter of recommendation, a resume and essays to listed questions. Scoring will be based upon three categories: passion, merit and financial need. Awards do not renew. You will need to reapply each year in order to be considered for another award.
