To be eligible for the TLF Scholarships, applicants must: be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or DACA recipient; be either African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino or Native American/American Indian; be a Full Time student at a four-year, accredited institution in the U.S., carrying a total of 12 units or more per semester/quarter; have either a 3.0 GPA if applying for the Undergraduate Scholarships or a 3.2 GPA if applying for the Graduate Scholarships; major in a field of study that has an emphasis in advertising, marketing, or public relations; have at least one year left; and be available to participate in the scholarship activities.
The scholarship recipients will receive a trip to either New York City, Portland, OR, or Minneapolis, MN where they will participate in career building activities. This includes a welcome dinner with a keynote speaker, three to four day-long career development workshops, and a scholarship & donor recognition reception. During these activities, students will have the opportunity to meet industry professionals, network and gain exposure to the advertising, marketing and public relations world. TLF accepts applications from undergraduate students (current freshmen, sophomores, juniors and non-graduating seniors only) and graduate students (including Ph.D. students).
